Of course microsoft customer support is not free if you want to do anything other than look at their less than helpful FAQ's. We would like to ask you to contact Microsoft Support in order to resolve this issue. It should have been installed with installation of Windows, but it seems that it is missing.

We would like to inform you that this file is part of Microsoft Windows XP. ( I really don't want to go through the whole re-installation of ALL my apps and games and save files and patches and OS updates.etc, etc, etc again) I sent an email to AVG concerning this error and they sent me back the following response: So I turn to EE to see if anyone knows how i can fix this short of another reformat. I have run the vcleaner tool from AVG in safe mode and it's come up clean, I also ran Symantec's tool in safe mode, same deal : clean.
These errors all happened after service pack 3 installation, not blaming it of course, just saying.

The avast is on a 60 day trial where as my AVG is a fully paid solution that I would like to be able to re-install and run on my machine. (screenshot of those errors below.) I immediately uninstalled AVG and installed avast just to make sure I got protection on my machine while i fix this.

I finally got to the Service Pack 3 update and installed it and upon reboot I started to receive an entry point error whenever AVG tried to start up along with my logitech gamepanel software and whenever another app (curse client for wow addons) starts up it also calls a similar error (procedure entry point fubar) when it tries to call up dxdiag.exe.
